When the Boruto anime went on hiatus, it was announced that the Naruto anime would also return. Now, the 4 special episodes finally have a release date: September 3rd. However, Crunchyroll and no other streaming platform has taken on the airing of these episodes. Furthermore, the synopsis of this story remains a mystery; the only thing we know is that it will involve events that take place between the classic Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series.
Naruto received its first anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot in 2002, lasting until 2007. However, in the same year, the anime already had its sequel, Naruto Shippuden , which ended in 2017.
Ukyo Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto launched Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , a sequel manga, in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016, and the manga was published monthly in the magazine. The manga then moved to Shueisha 's V Jump in July 2019. Masashi Kishimoto took over the project as the manga's writer in November 2020.
Finally, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime, in turn, premiered in April 2017 and went on hiatus in March 2023 to prepare for the second phase of the story, which takes place after the timeskip.
