During the panel at the CinemaCon 2024 , producer Lionsgate revealed that the live-action Naruto is already in the production stage.

Remembering that in February this year, the website Variety confirmed that Destin Daniel Cretton , known for directing “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will direct the film. The script is by Tasha Huo ( The Witcher: Blood Origin ).
First published in Japan in 1999, the “Naruto” manga quickly established itself as a global cultural phenomenon, garnering more than 250 million copies sold in more than 60 countries and territories . The anime adaptation also solidified its status as one of the most popular series across the world.
Although an adaptation with actors does not yet have a set release date, it is a long-time desire of Lionsgate (known for “The Hunger Games”). In 2015, the studio even hired Michael Gracey (“The Greatest Showman”) to direct the project, however, production ended up being postponed indefinitely.
