In a last-minute announcement, DreamWorks revealed that it will release Need for Speed in 3D. The film is scheduled for release on March 14, giving the studio just 35 days from now to convert it.
While it's possible they could delay the release due to the conversion, the studio has already shelled out over $4 million to promote the film and its release date during the Super Bowl.
In recent years, studios have taken a more cautious approach to conversion, following the dismal results of Clash of the Titans and The Last Airbender in 2010.
