In a last-minute announcement, DreamWorks revealed that it will release Need for Speed in 3D. The film is scheduled to premiere on March 14, which gives the studio just 35 days from now to convert.
While it's possible they could delay the release due to the conversion, the studio has already shelled out more than $4 million to promote the film and its release date during the Super Bowl.
Studios have been more cautious with conversion over the last few years, after the poor results of 'Clash of the Titans' and 'The Last Airbender' in 2010.
