The release date for the second season of the live-action One Piece , previously confirmed by Netflix , has been removed from the platform's official website. The information initially appeared in a Netflix TUDUM promoting the collaboration with LEGO, but was later edited.

In the original text, Netflix stated:

One Piece Netflix
January 26, 2025

Ahoy, Straw Hat Pirates! The LEGO Group, Netflix, and Tomorrow Studios are teaming up to bring you treasures you can treasure while you wait for new episodes of ONE PIECE, arriving later this year.

Now the updated version removes any mention of the release date:

One Piece Netflix
January 29, 2025

“Ahoy, Straw Hat Pirates! The LEGO Group, Netflix, and Tomorrow Studios are teaming up to bring you treasures you can treasure while you wait for new episodes of ONE PIECE.”

However, it's still unclear whether Netflix made a mistake in removing the date or whether it actually decided to change it. It's worth noting that Season 2 has already confirmed over 20 new actors and revealed the first glimpse of Chopper and Drum Island in September.

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has stated that the new season will surpass the previous one. Furthermore, a behind-the-scenes video featuring actor Jeff Ward suggests that the new episodes may actually arrive in 2025.

One Piece Season 1 premiered on August 31st and became a resounding success, topping Netflix's global English-language TV rankings with 18.5 million total views, 140.1 million hours watched , and an average viewing time of 7 hours and 34 minutes . The series maintained its lead in its second week, solidifying its position as one of the biggest live-action anime adaptations.
