This Wednesday (5) Netflix anime film , titled Cosmic Princess Kaguya , the new animation premieres January 22, 2026.

“Kaguya: The Space Princess,” Yamashita’s first feature film, tells the story of two girls who bond through music. In Tsukuyomi’s virtual dream world, their destinies unfold amidst dazzling visual splendor.
The theme song and other songs that bring the story to life were created by various Vocaloid producers, such as ryo (supercell), who shook the music world with the hit “Melt,” performed by the virtual singer Hatsune Miku, also from Vocaloid, as well as kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.
The film marks the debut of Studio Chromato , led by Yamashita, and represents the beginning of a new creative phase for the studio. The production features a collaboration with the renowned Studio Colorido , known for its vibrant art and captivating characters in works such as "Penguin Road" and "Cat's Eyes" .
