Netflix has announced a historic alliance with studio MAPPA , marking a new chapter in the production of exclusive anime for a global audience. Unlike traditional agreements, the partnership includes collaboration from story development to worldwide release and merchandising activities.

According to the platform, the goal is to create original anime designed for simultaneous release in over 190 countries . In this way, Netflix reinforces its investment in online anime, while expanding the presence of Japanese productions in its global catalog.

MAPPA, known for hits like Jujutsu Kaisen , Chainsaw Man , and Attack on Titan , seeks greater creative autonomy and international reach. Furthermore, the studio is betting on a more sustainable business model, geared towards the global market.

Although no titles have been revealed, projects are already in the early stages. Meanwhile, 2026 promises to be intense, with new seasons of Hell's Paradise and Dorohedoro in production.

Finally, the partnership points to a future where watching anime online will be increasingly accessible, without regional restrictions.
