The new animated feature film Drifting Home ( Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi ) has had its release date revealed. According to the official Twitter account, the animation will arrive on the platform on September 16th

The film is directed by Hiroyasu Ishida (Penguin Highway) with character designs by Akihiro Nagae .
Bin Shimada joins the cast as Yasuji Kumagaya , Kousuke's grandfather who treats Natsume as his own granddaughter. Meanwhile, Nana Mizuki voices Satoko Tonai, Natsume's mother.
Synopsis:
Two childhood friends, Kousuke and Natsume, whose building is about to be demolished, suddenly find themselves "adrift" due to an inexplicable phenomenon. Thus begins their journey back home.
Finally, the film Drifting Home will premiere in 2022.
