The new anime Blue Lock has had a new trailer released on the official website . According to reports, the video reveals new images and says the series will premiere in October of this year .

Synopsis:

The story begins with Japan's elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, causing the Japan Football Union to launch a program to search for high school players who will begin training for the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi , a striker, receives an invitation to this program shortly after his team lost the chance to go to the nationals.

Their coach Ego Jinpachi , who aims to "end Japan's failed football" by introducing a radical new training regime: isolating 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called "Blue Lock" and putting them through rigorous training with the goal of creating "the best striker in the world."

Authors Kaneshiro and Nomura launched the Blue Lock manga Weekly Shounen in August 2018.
