New D.Gray-Man will only have 13 episodes!

The new phase of D.Gray-Man , titled Hallow , already has an important confirmation: the anime will have only 13 episodes . The information was revealed by the Japanese magazine Jump Square , which also announced that the content will be distributed in six DVD and Blu-ray volumes.

Return with new production team

First, the premiere is set for July 4th , bringing significant changes to the creative team. Yoshiharu Ashino (from Tweeny Witches and Cross Ange ) takes over as director of the series. The script is handled by Tatsuto Higuchi ( My-Otome ) and Kenichi Yamashita ( Koutesu Sangokushi ).

Yousuke Kabashima, known for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time , designed the characters. The animation is handled by the renowned studio TMS Entertainment, responsible for hits like Yowamushi Pedal and Lost Canvas .

D.Gray-Man – A sequel long awaited by fans

Finally, originally released in 2006, D.Gray-Man had its first season with 103 episodes , gaining prominence among fans of supernatural shounen. However , after years of waiting, the return arrives in a leaner format, which raises expectations and debates among the work's followers.

So , it remains to be seen whether the new season will be able to maintain the quality and impact of the original, even with fewer episodes.
