The new D.Gray-Man will only have 13 episodes!

The new season of D.Gray-Man , titled Hallow , has received an important confirmation: the anime will consist of only 13 episodes . This information was revealed by the Japanese magazine Jump Square , which also announced that the content will be distributed across six DVD and Blu-ray volumes.

Returning with a new production team

Firstly, the premiere is scheduled for July 4th , bringing significant changes to the creative team. Yoshiharu Ashino (of Tweeny Witches and Cross Ange ) will direct the series. The script will be written by Tatsuto Higuchi ( My-Otome ) and Kenichi Yamashita ( Koutestu Sangokushi ).

Yousuke Kabashima, known for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time , is responsible for the character designs. The animation is being handled by the renowned studio TMS Entertainment, responsible for hits like Yowamushi Pedal and Lost Canvas .

Finally, originally released in 2006, D.Gray-Man had its first season with 103 episodes , gaining prominence among fans of supernatural shounen. However , after years of waiting, its return arrives in a more concise form, raising expectations and debates among followers of the series.

So , it remains to be seen whether the new season will be able to maintain the quality and impact of the original, even with fewer episodes.
