New Evangelion movie arrives on Blu-ray

The official website for the new Evangelion films began streaming a promotional video for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo this Wednesday. The third installment of the four-film Neon Genesis Evangelion , produced by Khara and created by Hideaki Anno, will be available on Blu-ray and DVD next Wednesday. Like the previous films in the series, the third installment has been renamed Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo for its home video release. Both the Blu-ray and DVD will contain the 95-minute film plus a 10-minute and 7-second short, Kyoshimei Tokyo ni Arawaru (The Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo). This short was developed by Hideaki Anno and produced by Studio Ghibli. Both versions will include the documentary Rebuild of Evangelion: 3.33, the teaser trailer, the full trailer, and the 3.33 dialogue script. King Records will offer the Blu-ray for 6,090 yen (US$ 32.00) in stores, while the DVD will sell for 5,985 yen (US$ 30.00). Each will come with a special 66-page booklet. The first copies of each will include a CD of the original soundtrack featuring the song "Sakura Nagashi," performed by Utada Hikaru.
