North American licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday, January 22nd, that it has licensed the anime Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil Crunchyroll currently streams the series in parallel with its Japanese streaming service.
The story takes place in Tokyo in 2018, where there are both normal humans and those who can wield magic. As a result, laws against the use of these powers exist, so a "magic court" was created to preside over lawsuits regarding the misuse of these powers.
In these cases, " Benmashi " or wizardbarristers defend those who use magic. The anime follows the character Cecil , the youngest Benmashi in the story, and his associates.
