Avex entertainment released the first official trailer for the new Initial D (Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 1 -Kakusei), this is the first film that marks a new trilogy for the series.
This new film trilogy will retell the beginning of the original story from Shuichi Shigeno 's racing manga . High School student Takumi Fujiwara works at a gas station during the day and a delivery boy for his father's tofu shop during the late nights . Little does he know that his driving skills in the Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno will make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina Highway .
The first new film will be released in Japan August 23. Advance tickets are on sale now for 1,200 yen ( about US $12 ).
