During a livestreamed conference on Wednesday, Nintendo revealed a new chapter in The Legend of Zelda , directly connected to the 1991 classic, A Link to the Past . The news excited nostalgic fans, especially since it explores the same universe as the game .
While the American broadcast didn't reveal an official name, the Japanese version confirmed the title Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce 2 , or The Triforce of the Gods 2. It's worth remembering that this was the original title for A Link to the Past in Japan.
3D mechanics and retro visuals innovate on the handheld
The new game, developed for the Nintendo 3DS console, will utilize 3D technology to enhance the depth of dungeons. This allows for a clear understanding of the different layers of the mazes and environments, enhancing the visual experience.
Another highlight is the new ability to transform the hero Link into a 2D version that can slide along walls.
