During a live-streamed conference on Wednesday, Nintendo revealed a new chapter in The Legend of Zelda , directly connected to the 1991 classic, A Link to the Past . The news thrilled nostalgic fans, especially as it explores the same universe as the game .

While the American broadcast did not reveal an official name, the Japanese version confirmed the title Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce 2 , or The Triforce of the Gods 2. It's worth remembering that this was the original title of A Link to the Past in Japan.

3D mechanics and retro visuals bring innovation to the portable console

The new game, developed for the Nintendo 3DS console, will utilize three-dimensional technology to highlight the depth of the dungeons. This will allow players to clearly perceive different layers of the labyrinths and environments, enhancing the visual experience.

Another highlight is the new ability to transform the hero Link into a 2D version that can slide along walls. This creative mechanic will allow access to previously inaccessible areas and solve puzzles in a completely new way. Furthermore, Nintendo has guaranteed that the game will maintain its classic visual style, adapted to the retro-modern style of the handheld console.

Scheduled for release in Japan in 2014, the game will be available both physically and via download. More details about the Western version are expected to be released in the coming months.
