I'm a Nintendo fan, but I can't stay confined to Nintendo's world. Today, the trailer for Outlast for PS4 was released; the game is free for PS Plus subscribers. Outlast was initially released for PC
in September 2013.
Every time I see a game of this genre, I find myself trembling in front of the TV playing Fatal Frame for GameCube. I've never been so scared in my life playing a game. I know there are several games in this genre, but Fatal Frame was the one that terrified me the most. But after seeing this trailer, I have my doubts.
In Outlast, you play as Miles Upshur, an investigative reporter following clues related to the mistreatment and strange experiments taking place at Mount Massive Asylum. Upshur decides to investigate what's happening at the hospital, armed only with a camera and a notebook (you're taking things the wrong way, friend). He soon finds himself being pursued by locals and even apparitions, and, without the ability to fight on equal terms, his only option is to run for his life.
So grab your camera and notepad, and get ready to embark on this macabre story. And be careful, you never know if someone's watching you...
