The new PlayStation 4 NEO brings 4K support
Although the official presentation of the PlayStation 4 NEO will not take place at E3, the company has confirmed the technical specifications of the device. As announced, the console will bring visible improvements to both the CPU and GPU. The CPU jumps from 1.6 GHz to 2.1 GHz, while the GPU will double its capacity, increasing from 18 to 36 compute units.

Furthermore, the console's memory remains at 8 GB GDDR5, but now with a bandwidth of 218 GB/s, compared to the 176 GB/s of the original PS4. This certainly represents a direct response to the graphical advancements demanded by current games and the 4K resolution, which will be natively supported.
Both consoles will coexist in the market
In an interview with the Financial Times , Andrew House, president of Sony Entertainment, stated that the new console will not replace the current one. On the contrary, both will continue to be sold side-by-side. According to him, "consumers are used to rapid innovation cycles because of smartphones and PCs," which motivated the company to offer two options within the same generation.
Although the exact price has not been disclosed, House confirmed that the PS4 NEO will be sold for more than $350. However, all games will remain compatible with both versions and will eventually receive graphical improvements on the new hardware.
Therefore, if you already own a PS4, don't worry: Sony guarantees continued availability without excluding any audience. But, if you want to fully explore the graphical power of the new titles, the NEO will be an excellent choice.
