During the Anime Expo , which took place between July 4th and 7th in Los Angeles, a banner outside the event caught the eye.
Everything indicates that this is a new project by Katsuhiro Otomo , creator of the acclaimed anime Akira . It's not yet known exactly what the new film is about, but the banner shows a kind of astronaut holding a skateboard, with the acronym CCCP on his helmet, representing the former Soviet Union.

Katsuhiro Otomo is the author of Akira, a manga published in 1982 that later became a popular anime in 1988. The story takes place in a dystopian world after the end of World War III. A gang leader known as Kaneda finds himself embroiled in a massive government operation when his best friend begins to exhibit telekinetic powers.
In Brazil, the work is published by JBC and already has two volumes.
Soon, an adaptation of Akira will also be coming to theaters .
