The official website for the film Love Me, Love Me Not (Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare), an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Io Sakisaka, revealed a new release date after being postponed due to COVID-19 .
The film was scheduled for May 29, but rescheduled to premiere in Japan on September 18 by decision of the TOHO and the production committee due to the contagion of the new coronavirus.
Above all, the live-action adaptation of the manga premieres on August 14th.
Synopsis
The story revolves around Yuna and Akari who have two very different views on love: Yuna is someone who sees love as a dream and Akari is someone who is very realistic about her romance choices. But when the heartbreaking Rio and the obvious Kazuomi show up, love and friendship become complicated.
Staff
The anime stars Marika Suzuki as Yuna Ichihara, Megumi Han as Akari Yamamoto, Soma Saito as Kazuomi Inui, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Rio Yamamoto.
Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (The Great Passage, Sukitte Ii na yo) is directing the film at A-1 Pictures . Erika Yoshida is writing the script. Yuu Yamashita (Bunny Drop) is doing the character design. Yuuji Nomi (Mimi o Sumaseba, Sukitte Ii na yo) is composing the music.
The live-action version stars Minami as Akari Yamamoto, Takumi Kitamura as Rio Yamamoto, Riko Fukamoto as Yuna Ichihara, and Eiji Akaso as Kazuomi Inui. Takahiro Miki is directing the film, Miki and Yoko Yonaiyama are writing the script.
Furthermore, Love Me, Love Me Not by author Io Sakisaka was published by Shueisha in Bessatsu Margaret between June 2015 and May 2019, with 12 volumes.
