Toei Animation released the first full trailer for the new season of the anime World Trigger this Saturday. The anime will premiere on January 9th, and the first two episodes of the new season will have a special screening with exclusive footage in 12 theaters across Japan from December 25th to January 7th.

South Korean band TOMORROW X TOGETHER will perform the main theme song "Force." Motoko Omori of the rock band Mrs. Green Apple wrote the song specifically for the anime. Rock band Kami wa Saikoro o Furanai will perform the ending theme song "Mirai Eigou."
The World Trigger manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2013. The manga went on hiatus from November 2016 due to the author's poor physical health, and returned to the magazine in October 2018, and after 5 issues it moved to Shueisha's Jump SQ in December 2018.
