Toei Animation streamed the first full trailer for the new season of the World Trigger anime this Saturday. The anime will premiere on January 9th, in addition, the first two episodes of the new season will have a special screening with exclusive filming in 12 cinemas in Japan between December 25th and January 7th.

South Korean band TOMORROW X TOGETHER will sing the main theme song “Force”. Motoko Omori of the rock band Mrs. Green Apple wrote the song specifically for the anime. Rock band Kami wa Saikoro o Furanai will sing the ending theme song “Mirai Eigou”.
The World Trigger manga was launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2013. The manga went on hiatus since November 2016 due to the author's poor physical health, and returned to the magazine in October 2018, and after 5 issues it was transferred to the magazine Jump SQ by Shueisha in December 2018.
