New teaser for Ghost in the Shell-Arise

The official website for Ghost in the Shell: Arise has just released a new teaser for the film. The plot, which has not yet been announced, will be a prequel to the film Ghost of the Future, featuring a young Mokoto Kusanagi. The new anime based on Masamune Shirow's manga will be divided into 4 parts of 50 minutes. The first, titled Ghost Pain, hits Japanese cinemas on June 22nd this year. The Blu-ray and DVD release takes place on July 26th. Check out the video:

 

Ghost in the Shell: Arise is directed by Kazuchika Kise, written by Tow Ubukata and composer Cornelius handles the soundtrack. The cast of Japanese voice actors includes Maaya Sakamoto (Mokoto Kusanagi), Kenichiro Matsuda (Batou), Yoji Ueda (Peace), Tarusuke Shingaki (Togusa), Tomoyuki Dan (Ishikawa), Takuro Nakakuni (Saito), Kazuya Nakai (Borma) and Ikkyu Juku (Daisuke Aramaki).
On March 13, the manga adaptation based on the new film began to be published in Young Magazine, titled Ghost in the Shell Arise: Sleepless Eye (Nemuranai Me no Otoko). The work features drawings by Takumi Ōyama and a story by Junichi Fujisaku.
