The official website of Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy revealed a new trailer for the anime which premieres in October of this year. In the trailer, the 6 main characters are introduced, along with the anime's opening theme song “Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy”, sung by the 5 male protagonists as the group Minakami High School Heroes.
The story centers on Mizuki Hijiri , a high school girl who has just transferred to a new school. At this new school, she has a fateful encounter with boys suffering from Chuunibyou (Middle School Crisis) : Noda , who dreams of becoming a hero; the tragically handsome otaku Takashima , who only likes 2D girls; Nakamura , the supposed "reincarnation" of an angel or demon; and the self-proclaimed puppeteer Tsukumo .
The anime is directed by Kazuya Ichikawa at Studio DEEN . Midori Gotou is handling the scripts, while Yusa Matsuura is in charge of character design. The music is composed by the group TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND , with Satoshi Motoyama serving as sound director.
