The official website for Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth has released a new, updated trailer. The cast remains the same as the original PlayStation 2 game. Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman 1,2,3) is directing.

The story of Persona 3 takes place in a modern Japanese city, built and financed by the Kirijo Corporation . Due to events that occurred in the past, there is a “Dark Hour”, a period of time that exists between midnight and the next day that only a few conscious people can see; those who are not conscious find themselves frozen in coffins. The Dark Hour brings the reality curve; Gekkoukan High School, where most of the characters attend school during the day and at night becomes a huge tower with labyrinths called “Tartarus”, which appeals to beasts called Shadows that are roaming and protecting certain areas, preying on the People's minds still conscious during this time, leaving victims in a near-catatonic state outside of the Dark Hour.
