Synopsis
The film “MONONOKE” is set in Ōoku (historically the women's quarters of Edo Castle) and attempts to portray the suffering and healing of women. But considering the story's perspective, we decided to change the cast of the Medicine Seller.
Mononoke debuted in 2007 as an anime series with 12 episodes animated by Toei Animation (Dragon Ball, One Piece). As such, the series is a spinoff of the anime Ayakashi – Samurai Horror Tales. Specifically, it follows the medicine vendor from the "Bakeneko" (Goblin Cat) arc.
Finally, the Mononoke anime has five arcs, the last of which is titled "Bakeneko".
