A while ago it was announced that the spin-off Soul Eater series .
The manga began serialization in Shounen Gangan in January 2011, and the story takes place before the events of the original Soul Eater series. The 3rd volume of Soul Eater Not! and the final volume of Soul Eater will be released simultaneously in Japan on December 12th.
