A while ago it was announced that the spin-off Soul Eater Not! will be adapted into an anime, and to the delight of fans the animation will be done by the studio “Bones”, the same one that also animated the original Soul Eater .

The manga began publishing in Shounen Gangan in January 2011 and takes place before the events of the original Soul Eater series. The third volume of Soul Eater Not! and the final volume of Soul Eater will be released simultaneously in Japan on December 12th.
