The official website for the anime based on Ni No Kuni has released another series of trailers, this time featuring the characters Yū, Haru, and Kotona.

The film will premiere in theaters on August 23, 2019, and the story follows Yū, a high school student who, through a certain incident, travels with his two friends to Ni no Kuni. When Kotona's life is put in danger, the three must make "the ultimate choice."
Therefore, the animation is the responsibility of the OLM studio (Pokémon, Inazuma Eleven), the direction is by Yoshiyuki Momose (character designer of The Legend of the Galactic Heroes), and the music is by Joe Hisaishi (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away). The story is by Akihiro Hino, the CEO of Level 5.
Serishun and Haruka Minase will join the film's cast as the winners of the film's voice actor audition. The film will mark the voice acting debut of the pair.
Finally, Level-5 also released the game Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2018.
