Synopsis
The King of Beasts and Demons frequently receives young girls as human sacrifices in order to maintain his people's dominance over the human race. However, in the 99th sacrifice, the human girl Sariphi intrigues the King of Beasts and Demons because she fears neither him nor any other animal, accepting her death without begging or crying, as she has no home or family to return to. Due to her intriguing behavior, the king decides to keep her by his side as his human consort. This is the story of how Sariphi becomes the Queen of Beasts and Demons.
The anime premiered on April 19th.
Yu Tomofuji launched the manga in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine in 2015, and ended it in October 2020. The 15th and final volume of the manga was then released in January 2021. Ultimately, the manga has 2.1 million copies in circulation, including digital sales.
