Well before its premiere, NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a promised to be one of the great animes of the season, especially with animation by A-1 Pictures (Lycoris Recoil) but the introduction of a CG left fans worried.
Directed by Ryouji Masuyama (Blend S, Hello WeGo!) at studio A-1 Pictures (Lycoris Recoil), CG by Yuusuke Noma and photography by Toshiaki Aoshima.
Synopsis
NieR:Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-run dystopia invaded by powerful machines.
Humanity was then expelled from Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to reclaim the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on... A war that may soon reveal a long-forgotten truth of the world.
Finally, the NieR:Automata game was released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2017. Furthermore, Square Enix launched the game on PC in March 2017 and on Xbox One in June 2018.
