The anime NieR:Automata Ver1.1a premiered on Japanese TV this weekend and on streaming services. However, it didn't take long for fans to criticize the first episode of the series in the animation context.

Studio A-1 Pictures had struggled with the production of 86: Eighty-Six , which caused the final episodes to be delayed for months.

Synopsis

NieR:Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-run dystopia invaded by powerful machines.
Humanity was then expelled from Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to reclaim the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on... A war that may soon reveal a long-forgotten truth of the world.

Finally, the NieR:Automata game was released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in February 2017, then North America and Europe in March 2017. Furthermore, Square Enix also released the game on PC via Steam in March 2017 and on Xbox One in June 2018.
