The first previews for Ninja Gaiden 4 indicate that the long-awaited sequel may be everything fans hoped for. After more than ten years without a numbered chapter, the franchise returns with brutal combat, high difficulty, and the striking presence of Ryu Hayabusa.

Developed in partnership between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, the new game captures the essence that made the series famous, combining intense action, fast pace, and sharp mechanics for the new generation of consoles.

Return to the roots with maximum intensity

Ninja Gaiden is a classic action series that began in the '80s and gained traction in the early 2000s with its fast-paced, challenging 3D gameplay. Ninja Gaiden 4 marks the return of the main series after more than a decade, bringing back the combat style that demands pinpoint precision and total mastery of the mechanics.

Two protagonists and unique combat styles

The game features two playable characters. Ryu Hayabusa returns with his Gleam form, specializing in lightning-fast attacks to efficiently eliminate enemies. Newcomer Yakumo will have his Bloodraven form, which increases his strength and endurance, allowing him to counterattack even against normally unblockable attacks.

Classics are back and major new releases

Familiar moves like the Izuna Drop and Flying Swallow return, now with improved animations, maintaining the connection to the franchise's history. Furthermore, the game features graphical improvements, adjustable performance modes, and accessibility options, while still maintaining the franchise's signature challenge.

Launch and technical performance

Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled for release on October 21st, with versions available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be included in the Game Pass catalog from day one. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will support 120 fps, while on Series S and compatible PCs, it will support 60 fps, ensuring smooth and stable gameplay.
