The accessory manufacturer Genki admitted to creating the products presented at CES 2025 for the Nintendo Switch 2 based on leaks, without access to the official console design. However, a company representative explained to the Game*Spark website that they even developed the prototype of the console used as a reference based on unconfirmed information.

Thus, despite showcasing a full line of accessories, Genki emphasized that it has not received any official information from Nintendo and cannot guarantee that the products will be compatible with the Switch's successor. "Only Nintendo can say whether the accessories will be compatible with the Switch 2 ," the company stated.

Nintendo denies connection to the accessories

Just hours after Genki's presentation, Nintendo issued a statement denying any involvement with the accessories. In a response published by the CNET website, the Japanese giant reiterated that the hardware displayed by the manufacturer has no connection to the new console. "The gaming hardware that Genki presented at CES and claims to be the next Nintendo model is not official and was not provided by Nintendo ," a spokesperson stated.

This statement marks another chapter in the rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2. Despite growing anticipation for its release, Nintendo has yet to officially reveal details about the console, fueling speculation and leaks.

What is known about the Switch 2?

Nintendo has not yet released official information, but previous reports already indicate that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be larger than the current model. The screen, for example, should be 8 inches, surpassing the standard 6.2 inches and the 7-inch OLED version. Even so, the new console would be more compact than the Steam Deck, one of its main competitors in the portable market.

In terms of performance, rumors indicate that the Switch 2 will feature support for DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), an NVIDIA technology for enhanced graphics. This would guarantee higher resolution, superior frame rates, and graphical quality close to consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. There is also speculation that the console will be able to run games from both of these platforms, broadening its market appeal.
