“ Nintendo ” said on Sunday night (12) that the company’s president, “ Satoru Iwata ”, died last Saturday, July 11th, at the age of 55.

The information was given in a letter, published on his official website, indicating that the cause of death was cancer in his bile duct.

Iwata had been battling a tumor. In July 2014, he underwent surgery, which left him out of office for six months and prevented him from attending E3 that same year.
