Despite not participating in the major E3 2013 conferences, Nintendo, as always, didn't disappoint. They prepared a Nintendo Direct for the event, revealing their new games for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Watch the videos of the games released in this incredible broadcast.
Pokémon X and Y
The presentation began with one of Nintendo's most famous franchises, Pokémon, which will be getting two new games for the 3DS:
Super Mario World 3D
is getting its second game for the Wii U with a 3D world. In this new Wii U game, the player will be able to choose between four playable characters and will have access to a new cat costume that will give Mario and his friends the power to climb walls.
Mario Kart 8,
a version for the Wii U console, will feature new high-definition graphics, completely new circuits, and 3D tracks that can even turn upside down.
Nintendo showcased a clip of
third-party
The Wonderful 101
game had already been revealed and has now received new gameplay footage. The game's mechanics were explained; the player will need to draw the shapes in which the heroes need to combine to create weapons and attacks.
Bayonetta 2
, exclusive to Wii U, has received its first video showcasing gameplay footage.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
remake from the Gamecube was shown, with the entire game remodeled to display HD graphics.
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze:
A brand new game for the Wii U featuring many classic Nintendo characters.
The X
game, featuring giant robots, also got gameplay footage.
Smash
Bros. also had a surprise in store for the end of the trailer: the game will feature a new character, Mega Man! \o/
