Nintendo has announced that it will officially launch the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 in Brazil on June 5. The Japanese brand's new console will come in two versions: a standard version and one that comes with the Mario Kart World game, with suggested prices of R$4,499.90 and R$4,799.90, respectively.

In addition to announcing the release date, the company also revealed the prices for the main titles that will be available at launch. Nintendo will sell Mario Kart World for R$499.90 and launch Donkey Kong Bananza for R$439.90. Both games will be localized into Brazilian Portuguese.
Launch and pre-order packages in Brazil
The company will sell the console in two versions: the traditional version and another that includes the new Mario Kart World, one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Pre-orders will begin soon, according to Nintendo's statement, but there are no details yet about which stores will be authorized to sell the product in advance.
Although the company hasn't announced specific pre-order dates, fans are advised to follow official channels and specialized groups to avoid missing out on the opportunity to secure their console early. The version with the game included costs R$300 more than the standard model, which may influence consumer choice.
Games arrive with above-average localization and prices
The first two titles confirmed for Switch 2 were Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World. Both will be available at launch and fully localized into Brazilian Portuguese, including menus, subtitles, and voice acting.
However, despite the good news for Brazilian gamers, the prices generated a stir on social media. The R$499.90 price tag for Mario Kart World, in particular, drew attention for exceeding the average price for previous releases in the franchise in the country. Even so, the series' sales history indicates strong appeal among the public.
Market expectations and impact of the launch
The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 marks a new phase for the company in Brazil. After a period of uncertainty and official absence, the brand has returned to the domestic market with its own distribution and a stronger retail presence.
The arrival of the new model is expected to boost the gaming industry in the second half of the year, especially among enthusiasts of the Japanese brand. The promise of localized titles and the revival of the Switch line with technical improvements position the new console as one of the year's top releases in the segment.
So far, Nintendo has not confirmed the release of other games or promotional packages alongside the Switch 2. However, the company is expected to release new information in the coming weeks, as the console's official launch date in Brazil approaches.
