Nintendo has announced that it will officially launch the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 in Brazil on June 5th. In addition to announcing the date, the company also released the prices for the main titles that will be available at launch. Nintendo will sell Mario Kart World for R$ 499.90 and launch Donkey Kong Bananza for R$ 439.90. Both games will come with Brazilian Portuguese localization.

Launch and pre-order packages in Brazil
The company will sell the console in two versions: the traditional one and another that includes the new Mario Kart World, one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Pre-orders will begin soon, according to Nintendo's statement, but there are still no details about the stores authorized to sell the product in advance.
Although the company hasn't announced specific pre-order dates, fans are advised to follow official channels and specialized groups to avoid missing the opportunity to secure the console early. The version with the game included costs R$ 300 more than the standard model, which may influence consumers' choices.
Games arrive with above-average localization and pricing
The first two titles confirmed for the Switch 2 were Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World. Both will be available at launch and will feature full Brazilian Portuguese localization, including menus, subtitles, and voice acting.
However, despite the good news for Brazilian gamers, the prices generated repercussions on social media. The price of R$ 499.90 charged for Mario Kart World, in particular, drew attention for exceeding the average price of previous releases in the franchise in the country. Even so, the series' sales history indicates strong appeal among the public.

Market expectations and launch impact
The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 marks a new phase for the company in Brazil. After a period of uncertainty and official absence, the brand has returned to investing in the national market with its own distribution and a more solid presence in retail.
The arrival of the new model should heat up the gaming sector in the second half of the year, especially among enthusiasts of the Japanese brand. Thus, the promise of localized titles and the return of the Switch line with technical improvements position the new console as one of the year's major releases in the segment.
So far, Nintendo has not confirmed the release of any other games or promotional bundles alongside the Switch 2. However, the company is expected to release new information in the coming weeks, as the official launch date of the console in Brazil approaches.
