We have confirmation from Netflix that the 2nd season of Castlevania: Nocturne will happen. Therefore, the series premiered on September 28th and the streaming giant has already announced a second season.

Synopsis:
France, 1792, height of the French Revolution. In a remote region in the west of the country, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy makes an alliance with the terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to “consume the sun” and use an army of vampires and Creatures of the Night to end the revolution and enslave humanity. The sorceress Annette seeks out Richter Belmont, last descendant of the legendary family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
Finally, the anime focuses on Richter Belmont , a descendant of Sypha and Trevor, set in the French Revolution (1789-1799), being inspired by the games Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of Night .
