It was announced this Saturday (11) that the anime will have a third season of the TV anime “lit with green light” in the event “Nyanpasu Matsuri Vacation Nanon!” which was aimed at this. The anime's official website has started streaming the promotional video (below) for the anime's announcement.
Atto's Non Non Biyori manga has already inspired two television seasons and two original anime DVDs. The first TV series from director Shinya Kawatsura and anime studio SILVER LINK (WATAMOTE, Baka, and Test – Summon the Beasts) premiered in 2013, while the second season debuted in 2015.
The manga also inspired an animated film titled Non Non Biyori Vacation, which tells the story of the "Okinawa Trip" arc of Atto's manga, premiering in Japan on August 25, 2018.
The plot takes place in the countryside, where the nearest bookstore is a 20-minute bike ride away, a certain magazine “Ju_p” comes out on Wednesdays instead of Mondays, and the video store is 10 stations away. Hotaru Ichijo is transferred from Tokyo to this rural school and readjusts to the slow life of the country. Her schoolmates are Natsumi, Komari, Renge, and Komari's older brother Suguru, in their third year of high school.
Atto launched the manga in the monthly magazine Kadokawa Comic Alive in 2009, and Kadokawa published the manga's 13th compiled volume on November 21.
