The official Twitter account for the anime Non Non Biyori is announcing that the series will be getting a second season; the announcement was made at a fan event for the anime in Japan.
The story of the first season follows Hotaru Ichijou, who has moved with her parents from Tokyo to the countryside. Now, she has to adapt to her new school, where there are a total of 5 students in the same class, ranging from middle school to elementary school.
Atto launched the manga in Monthly Comic in 2009, and Media Factory published the sixth volume in September. The TV series, directed by Shinya Kawamo and produced by the anime studio SILVER LINK (WATAMOTE, Baka and Test), premiered last October.
