Synopsis
During his service, Yato meets Hiyori Iki, a girl who was accidentally struck by an evil entity known as an Ayakashi. This transformed her into a semi-ayakashi, meaning she can leave her physical body and enter the spiritual realm. As a result, Hiyori and Yato form a partnership to help defeat Ayakashi. Throughout the series, Yato, Hiyori, and other characters also meet other gods and spiritual entities, as well as engage in battles involving their supernatural powers.
