Toei Animation has officially announced that Notari Matsutaro will be coming to Japanese television screens.
Toei has revealed that an anime adaptation of the manga Notari Matsutaro by author Tetsuya Chiba , the same creator of Ashita no Jō, is in production. The series focuses on the ancient Japanese sport of Sumo. The anime is scheduled to begin airing on April 6th on TV Asahi , taking the place of Saint Seiya Omega (Knights of the Zodiac: Omega).
The manga was published around 1973 to 1993 and then returned from 1995 to 1998 in the magazine "Big Comic".
