Notari Matsutaro gets an anime adaptation!

With the end of the famous Saint Seiya Omega series, it was officially announced by Toei Animation that Notari Matsutaro will hit the small screen in Japan.

Toei has revealed that an anime adaptation of the Notari Matsutaro manga by author Tetsuya Chiba , the same creator of Ashita no Jō, is in production. The series focuses on Japan's ancient sport, Sumo. The anime is scheduled to begin airing on April 6th on TV Asahi , taking the same place as Saint Seiya Omega (Knights of the Zodiac: Omega).

The Manga was released around 1973 to 1993 and then returned from 1995 to 1998 in the magazine “Big Comic”.
