Toei Animation released the trailer for its new adaptation on Notari Matsutaro's official website. In February it was revealed that an anime adaptation by author Tetsuya Chiba would hit the screen.
The series focuses on Japan's ancient sport, Sumo. The anime is scheduled to begin airing on April 6th on TV Asahi , taking the same place as Saint Seiya Omega (Knights of the Zodiac: Omega).
The Manga was released around 1973 to 1993 and then returned from 1995 to 1998 in the magazine “Big Comic”.
