The official website for the anime adaptation of the light novel Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei (Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord) has released its first trailer.

Therefore, the anime Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi will be released in 2026.

Synopsis Okiraku Ryoushu

The story is based on the work written by Mitsuru Inoue with illustrations by Kururi, and follows a man who is reborn in another world as a young boy, now part of a noble family specializing in magic. However, he receives an ability considered useless—a "production" power that seems to have no value in battles. The result? He is mercilessly banished.

But instead of surrendering to fate, the protagonist finds an abandoned village and decides to start over. With his underestimated skills, he begins a process of reconstruction, determined to transform that forgotten place into a thriving city. Mixing elements of city building, magic, and slice of life, the title promises to be a lighthearted story, but full of charming twists.

This is yet another addition to the growing catalog of reincarnation-themed anime, but the focus on land management and community development could bring a breath of fresh air to the genre.

However, the light novel serialization began in May 2020. Later, it was acquired by Overlap, which began publishing it under its Overlap Novels imprint in September 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Maro Aoiro began serialization on Comic Gardo in August 2021.
