Before the confrontation, Saul had hidden Robin and Chopper in his own hair—a desperate attempt to protect them. However, he reveals a frightening piece of information: the Knights of God appear to be immortal , and facing them may be futile.
Soon after, Gunko appears with four prisoners: Nami, Usopp, Brook, and Jinbe. Saint Somars scoffs, suggesting they take them to Mariejois, but is quickly rebuked by Saint Kiringham , who questions whether he really wants to provoke the Straw Hat Pirate.
