Chapter 1154 of the One Piece manga , titled "Unable to Die ," brings impactful historical revelations about Elbaf, the origin of Galley-La, and the past of Rocks D. Xebec. Furthermore, it connects loose ends from the Punk Hazard arc and presents clues about the Ancient Weapons. Get ready, because this chapter is undoubtedly a turning point!

Chaos ensues after Big Mom's fall

After Big Mom's fall, Elbaf faced a dark period, plagued by disasters such as fires, storms, and famine. When giants threatened to attack Ida and Hajrudin, King Harald returned bringing foreign aid. However, his companion Estrida died before seeing him again , while Ida opened a bar in the underworld .

Furthermore, we discovered that Estrida abused Loki , which explains part of the giant prince's current behavior.

The Karela guild and the mystery of the frozen giants

Surprisingly, the chapter reveals that the ancient shipbuilding guild of Elbaf was called Great Hammer Warband , pronounced “ Karela ”—almost identical to Galley-La from Water Seven. Coincidence? Hardly.

They left a letter stating that the entire guild had been captured , something Jarul considered impossible, since there were about 100 giants—including ancestors. An even more bizarre rumor claims that they were all frozen in blocks of ice , which directly references the frozen giants in Punk Hazard . Too much of a coincidence to ignore, right?

Harald, Reverie, and the encounter with Rocks D. Xebec

Rocks D. Xebec / One Piece 1154

Going back 56 years in time, we see Harald going to the Reverie seeking help, but being ignored by the World Government. At that time, he heard from Jarul about the capture of the Karela guild. This detail strengthens the suspicion that the giants were key players in the development of naval technology—and perhaps even the Ancient Weapons.

The shocking link between Rocks and Teach

The climax of the chapter reveals what many fans suspected: Rocks D. Xebec is the father of Marshall D. Teach, Blackbeard ! The physical resemblance is highlighted—two-toned hair, imposing posture—and this justifies much of Teach's dark heritage.

Shortly after meeting Harald, Rocks killed a Navy admiral , becoming a wanted criminal. And now, his direct connection to the D. family resurfaces with full force!

One Piece chapter 1154 not only delves deeper into Elbaf's past, but also connects various past arcs and sparks new theories about ancient weapons, Punk Hazard, and the D. clan.
