Kuja Pirates: Idols of the Ancient World
The spoilers revealed in the pages state that the Kuja Pirates were so popular during the period depicted that it would be inconsistent to leave them out of the flashback. They were seen as rebellious "idols" of the sea, with sky-high bounties and worldwide fame. Although Gloriosa was the captain, Shakuyaku —who would later become Empress—gained notoriety for her stunning beauty, to the point of eclipsing the captain.
Roger x Kuja: fight for Shakuyaku's heart
In an unexpected confrontation, the Roger Pirates try to recruit Shakuyaku, but she refuses in style: she punches Roger and responds with hilarious phrases like "Stop fighting, I'm not a prize." Gloriosa even declares her love for Roger, who in turn says, "I can't! I want to see Shakky!"
Interestingly, Rayleigh was the only one of the group who wasn't enchanted by Shakuyaku. This caught her attention, and she told him he could take all the Kuja treasures if he wanted. Before leaving, she winked at him, leaving him embarrassed.
Garp vs Roger: New Technique Revealed
Amidst this chaos, Garp appears with his ship and confronts Roger , unleashing a powerful new attack called "Meteor Fist ." Roger counters with "Wild Soul" (Ara Mitama) —a technique inspired by the divine spirits of Shintoism. The fight unfolds in a stunning double-page spread and marks the first confrontation between Roger, Garp, and Rocks as young adults.
Loki rejects Elbaf for Rocks
Meanwhile, on Elbaf, Ida tries to convince Loki to marry Hirjudin , but Loki refuses. His plan is to sail with the Rocks Pirates , showing his clear allegiance to the chapter's central villain.
Introduction of the new Rocks Pirates
In Hachinosu, Rocks and his crew reunite in an epic new double-page spread. Among the new members are Big Mom, Kaido, Silver Axe, Charlotte Linlin, Streusen, John, and Barbel —the latter a fish-man (catfish-like) we've seen in God Valley. His hair now resembles flames.
Furthermore, according to the spoilers, a new character appears: Kyou, the Yakuza , a giant pirate with tattoos, glasses, and axes. His appearance resembles Zephyr from One Piece Z.
Rocks' plan is revealed in spoilers
As he explains to the crew, Rocks needs two elements to execute his plan:
- Find two legendary Devil Fruits , one of which is in Elbaf. Rocks wants Harald to consume the fruit to unlock his full potential.
- Locate the “Giants of Galella” , figures still mysterious but crucial to the final offensive.
Rocks closes with a provocative speech:
"Elbaf is the key to taking the Holy Land! You'll call me crazy, but just wait... I'll show you who the true king of the world is!!!"
One Piece will be taking a break next week due to the Summer Holiday Week .
God Valley in sight?
With the fast pace and detailed backstory, everything indicates that the long-awaited God Valley is close to being revealed. Will we see the fates of Shakuyaku, Garp, Rocks, and Roger cross paths again?
