On social media, the profile @pewpiece on X ( formerly Twitter ), known for sharing news about the manga , announced that One Piece will go on hiatus after chapter 1153 .

What to expect from chapter 1153?

Gaban revealed that Conqueror's Haki is the key to defeating them — and, surprisingly, stated that Zoro possesses this ability, although he hasn't yet mastered it completely.

Soon after, Luffy tried to recruit Loki for his crew, but faced resistance. Gaban then intervened and revealed that he and Shanks were near Elbaph when King Harald died. According to him, a strange Haki emanated from Aurust Castle at that tragic moment.

Harald

The narrative jumped forward 14 years, when Loki and Jarul were summoned to Harald's castle. There, they witnessed a coup: the king was assassinated by his own men. Nearby, Shanks was talking to Gaban, revealing a past connection with the king of Elbaph.
