Chapter 1088 of the One Piece manga came with new promotional art featuring the Straw Hat Pirates in their first formation. The art eventually includes Luffy , Zoro , Sanji , Usopp , and Nami, along with the East Blue in the background. Oda based his art on the Netflix live-action series, as the series will also begin in that saga.

During his voyage to East Blue, Luffy makes friends to accompany him on his adventure and manages to form a formidable pirate crew. Meanwhile, his crew's name begins to gain renown across the seas, and they prepare to enter the Grand Line and hunt for the world's greatest treasure.

Synopsis:

The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a rubber body after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (the Rubber Fruit). Inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Red-Haired Shanks, he becomes a pirate and sets sail across the sea to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the Pirate King.
