Chapter 1088 of the One Piece manga came with new promotional art featuring the Straw Hat Pirates in their original formation. The art includes Luffy , Zoro , Sanji , Usopp and Nami, along with the villains and allies of the East Blue in the background. Oda based his art on the Netflix live-action series, as that series will also begin in that saga.
During his journey in East Blue, Luffy makes friends to accompany him on his adventure and manages to form a formidable pirate crew. Meanwhile, his crew's name begins to gain fame across the seas, and they prepare to enter the Grand Line and hunt for the greatest treasure in the world.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a body made of rubber after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (Rubber Fruit). He was inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Shanks the Red-Haired, to become a pirate and sail on a journey across the sea to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates.
