In the previous episode, Kuma climbs the Red Line to reach the Holy Land of Mariejois . Akainu confronts Kuma there and burns part of his face with his Devil Fruit . Although injured, Kuma escapes and flies towards Egghead Island , leaving the Marine Admiral confused.
Meanwhile, on Egghead Island, Luffy and Kizaru are already facing off . Kizaru pits Luffy against the robot Vegaforce-01 , destroying Vegapunk's creation. And as if that weren't enough, at the end of the episode, the Iron Giant begins to awaken, further heightening the tension.
